❓ What is Basso Day?

Basso Day is a one-day choral event that celebrates tenor and bass voices in middle and high school. Students rehearse and perform as part of a powerful combined Tenor-Bass Choir, led by a featured guest clinician.

Date: Tuesday, November 18th

Time: 10:00am - 5:00pm, Public Concert at 4:30pm

Location: Annandale UMC 6935 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA

Cost: $5 per student

Who Can Attend: Tenor & Bass singers (Grades 6–12)

No Audition Required – All are welcome!

🎶Performance Repertoire

Schools will provide their students with their own music. Although we will ask students to prepare their scores with written solfège beforehand, it is not an expectation for the repertoire to be fully learned before the event. Additionally, the two Victor C. Johnson pieces were selected so that individual schools may continue to refine the works for their own winter concerts.

🍽️Lunch Option

VAACDA will provide an option for students to purchase their own Chic-fil-A lunch. Similar to the format experienced in District Choruses, a separate lunch form will be available with directions for payments.
